The Young Sudbury Singers will perform six selections in three Youth Choir categories. The choir has earned a Gold or High Gold Standard at each of the last seven festivals, and has received several awards.
There is a $3 fee to attend each session of the festival (day passes, programs and packages will be available at the door).

Celebrating 150 Years of Canadian Choral Music

The Young Sudbury Singers will join with six other community choirs from the Greater Sudbury area and Manitoulin Island to present an evening of Canadian choral music in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday.
Participating choirs include: The Bel Canto Chorus, C R Judd Public School, The Island Singers, Nickel City Sound, Sudbury Chamber Singers, Sudbury Secondary School and The Young Sudbury Singers.
Each choir will perform 2-3 selections of Canadian choral repertoire in a variety of styles, and join together to sing several pieces as a massed choir of over 250 voices.
Funds raised through this one-night-only concert will be donated to the Kiwanis Music Festival of Sudbury, Joan Mantle Music Trust, and NEO Kids Foundation.
Adults $15 – Students and Children $10 – Children age 6 and under are admitted free

Opera is back at the SSO, and this time we’re bringing friends! Benjamin Britten’s opera premiered in 1958, and was specifically created to engage a small community in Opera. Featuring a children’s choir, local youth singers, professional opera singers, and your Sudbury Symphony Orchestra, Noye’s Fludde invites you to re-examine your feelings about both Opera and the classic tale of Noah and his ark.
